Expopet 2025: five days dedicated to pets and their families at Corferias
Corferias is ready for a new edition of Expopet, to be held from August 14 to 18, celebrating its tenth anniversary as the ideal setting where pets take center stage, in a family-friendly environment with activities, entertainment, and fun.
The opening press conference was attended by Jeison Botero, “Jei el de los perros”; Carlos Ruiz, Project Manager at Corferias; Ana María Hinestrosa, Deputy Director of Civic Culture and Knowledge Management at IDPYBA; Andrea Polo Alarcón, Veterinarian at Fixit; and Jhonn Rodríguez Arciniegas, leader of the Animal Protection and Welfare Cluster (PyBA) of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.
During the event, Carlos Ruiz, Project Manager of Expopet Colombia, stated: “Expopet Colombia is a fair that offers a commercial platform to more than 200 exhibitors in the companion animal sector, who will present their innovative products and services. From August 14 to 18, over five days at Corferias, there will be a space designed for pet lovers, featuring entertainment activities, commercial opportunities, and specialized supplier offerings.”
This year, the event will also take place during the Assumption of the Virgin Mary holiday weekend, making it the perfect family and friends plan for Bogotá residents and visitors who will be in the city during those days. In one single venue, attendees will find professional training areas, activities, a commercial exhibition, and academic and business spaces.
Highlighted activities include the International Feline Cup, Canicross, the Agility Cup, Canisalto, and the My Most Beautiful Mixed-Breed contest. There will also be areas such as the Expopet Farm, the School of Happiness, the Pet Arena, and the Veterinary Week 360 Congress.
Finally, regarding the School of Happiness pavilion, ‘Jei el de los perros’, said: “The School of Happiness is coming in full force this year; it will be like Disney for dogs. We will have activities designed to stimulate smell, touch, and hearing in pets, helping to control anxiety and fear and improve the behavior of nervous dogs. Through a giant ball pit, we will conduct sensory stimulation exercises, and we will have a special maze to measure the human–animal bond, testing how much the human is willing to do for their dog and the dog for their human.”
